There is a tradition in the Urals: to visit the cultural and historical complex “Europe-Asia” – the symbol of the open space, the synthesis of two civilizations.
The complex is situated on the 17 km away from Yekaterinburg. This palace, on the watershed of the rivers Iset and Chusovaya, is the very border line between the two continents. The tourists have an opportunity to put one foot in Europe and the other one in Asia. It is also possible to take a sip of champagne in Europe and then in Asia.

The border is located near Yekaterinburg and there are 2 monuments. The first one (big column) is at 30 km from the city center at the historic area near the Berezovaya mountain and the second (small obelisk) built in 2006 is at 10 km from the center.
