Moscow Metro The first line of Moscow Metro consisted of 13 stations and was opened in 1935. In the present time Moscow underground system connects 150 stations. It is considered to be the most beautiful in the world. Many of its stations look like wonderful palaces with great architecture, different statues and reliefs, marble columns, stained glass windows. The Metro, nowadays, is the main mean of transport in Moscow.

Kremlin with Armory Chamber and the Cathedrals Moscow Kremlin is a unique architectural ensemble. Its territory concentrates ancient examples of Russian architecture, unique museum collections beginning from XV century. The world-famous Tsar Canon and Tsar Bell became symbols of Moscow. At the Senate Square, we can see buildings of former Senate and Arsenal (built in Peter the Great time). The Great Kremlin Palace used to be a residence of Russian tsars and emperors. Nowadays, it is the residence of Russian Federation President. In Kremlin also situates Armory Museum that is the world famous museum-treasury. It has unique collection of ancient gold and silver utensils, state regalia, clothing items of tsars and the Orthodox Church hierarchs, weapons and collection of luxury carriages.

Novodevichy Convent The Novodevichy Convent is one of Moscow`s most beautiful cloisters. It is an amazing architectural monument, and also the greatest of Moscow`s attractions, second only to the Kremlin. It was built in the early 16th century by Prince Vasily III of Moscow to commemorate the return of Smolensk to Russia from Polish-Lithuanian rule. One of its special attractions is the Novodevichy cemetery. The necropolis is divided into "new" and "old" parts. Since the early 18th century the old cemetery was the burial place for eminent, rich people and tsar family members. The new cemetery was used from 1898 to 1904. During the Soviet era, the Novodevichy cemetery was second in prestige ceding only to the Kremlin Wall Necropolis.

The Sparrow Hills The Sparrow Hill is one of the seven hills of Moscow. It is situated in Moscow south-western area and is the high right bank of the Moskva River covered with forest. In the middle of the 20th century there was built Moscow State University with a view point from where a magnificent view of the megalopolis is opened.
